
Spanish opera singer currently based in Florence. Maria is a young, passionate and
versatile artist. Her voice has a powerful rich timbre and she’s focused on the lyric
soprano repertoire.
Maria Vidal is a lyric soprano born in Alicante. After studying formal singing and piano she graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2020 with a degree in Musicology; that same year she began her Bachelor's Singing Degree at the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid.
She has taken part in many masterclasses and has studied under the guidance of many international singers and répétiteurs, such as Maria Costanza Nocentini, Leonardo de Lisi, Elisabetta Sepe, Patrizia Morandini, Aquiles Machado,
Christopher Robertson, Àngel Òdena or Siphiwe McKenzie.​
In the present day she is based in Florence, where she continues her training with a Master's degree in Opera at the 'Luigi Cherubini' Conservatory.
Maria has performed in many Spanish and Italian cities, performing in prestigious venues including the Duomo of Florence and the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.

Her repertoire ranges from Italian opera to zarzuela and chamber music. She has played roles such as the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, and Luisa Fernanda in the homonym zarzuela.
She has also brought to life secondary characters such as the Lady in Dido and Aeneas (Purcell) and Sister Genovieffa in Suor Angelica (Puccini).

Finalist at the 'Umberto Borsò Award 2025', she made her international debut as Lola in Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana at the Tblisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre (Georgia).
